Debt-Free Planning

When Do You Want to Be Debt-Free?

Tell us your loan, your goal, and your finances — we'll build the cheapest realistic strategy to get you there, and check it actually fits your budget.

Add these so we can flag it if the plan would stretch your budget too thin — nothing here changes the loan math itself.
By default we find the cheapest way to hit your target — a lump sum paid as early as possible always costs less interest than spreading the same money out through a higher EMI.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Debt-Free Planner do?

You choose the date you want to be debt-free, and it calculates the extra amount you need to pay each month (or as a lump sum) to reach that goal.

How does it work out the number?

It works backwards from your target date using standard reducing-balance amortisation to solve for the prepayment required to clear the loan by then.

Can I plan for more than one loan?

The planner focuses on reaching a payoff goal for a single loan. To compare strategies across several debts, use the Debt Payoff Calculator.

Is the plan a guarantee?

No. It is an illustrative estimate based on the numbers you enter and a constant interest rate. Confirm exact figures with your lender before acting.
