Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information PrepayWise collects when you use our calculators, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We built PrepayWise's calculators to be usable without handing over any personal information — you only need to share anything if you choose to download or email a plan.

1. Information We Collect Automatically

Like most websites, we use analytics and advertising tools that automatically collect some technical data when you visit:

• Usage data — pages viewed, calculator interactions, time on site, and approximate device/browser type, collected via Google Analytics (GA4).
• Advertising data — collected via the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, used to measure ad performance and show relevant ads.
• Approximate location — derived from your IP address (city/region level, not precise).
• Cookies and similar technologies — small files stored in your browser by the above tools. See Section 3.

None of the loan figures you type into a calculator (amount, rate, tenure, etc.) are sent to us or stored on any server — those calculations run entirely in your browser and disappear when you close the tab, unless you explicitly save a scenario or submit the details below.

2. Information You Provide Voluntarily

If you choose to download or email a plan from the Debt-Free Planner, we ask for:

• Name (optional)
• Email address
• Phone number

We use this only to send you the plan you requested, and — only if you leave the consent box checked — to occasionally follow up with relevant updates. You can decline to provide these details; the only effect is that the download/email feature won't proceed.

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel each set their own cookies to recognize repeat visits and measure activity. You can control or block these at any time:

• Adjust cookie permissions in your browser settings.
• Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Manage ad personalization in your Meta ad preferences.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Google and Meta — as processors of the analytics/advertising data described above, under their own privacy policies.
• Lending or financial partners — only if you actively click through an affiliate link and choose to apply for a product with that partner; only the information needed for that specific application is shared, and only at that point (see our Affiliate Disclosure).
• Legal authorities — only if required by law.

5. Data Storage & Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any information you submit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. We retain submitted contact details only as long as needed for the purpose you provided them for, or as required by law.

6. Your Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal information you've submitted to us by writing to the contact address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law — for users in India, this includes rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

7. Children's Privacy

PrepayWise is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
